![]() ![]() If Invincible's second season picks up some loose plot threads and character introductions from issues 1 through 13, Thragg could appear in the show's next outing and officially bring Morgan into the voice acting fold. Thragg wasn't revealed in Invincible season 1, but he debuted in issue 11, which was released in April 2004. ![]() Invincible's first season only covered the first 13 issues of the graphic novels – if season 2 follows a similar trajectory, it'll only cover issues 14-26, meaning it'll be a long time before Conquest arrives on the small screen.Ī more likely character for Morgan to voice would be Grand Regent Thragg, the comic series' primary villain and a recurring antagonist throughout. Conquest didn't make his comics debut until issue 61, which was released in April 2009. It's unclear, though, if Conquest will be introduced as early as Invincible season 2. Negan might be viewed as more of an anti-hero these days (in the TV series, anyway), but Morgan's swaggering, callous portrayal of Negan makes him a perfect fit to play someone as psychotic as Conquest. The actor brought real menace and malice to Negan, The Walking Dead's most iconic antagonist, in the TV adaptation. Morgan would make a fantastic Conquest, in my view. ![]()

![]() ![]() Which part of the research did you enjoy the most? That’s the sensation I’m trying to give to readers. The best writers, like Agatha Christie and John Dickson Carr, are so adept at hiding the clues in plain sight, so that you can go back through their works and think to yourself, “Of COURSE, why didn’t I spot that?” To me, that’s what makes the solution so satisfying. What appealed to me from a very young age was the fair-play aspect of classic mysteries the way you as the reader have all the same clues as the characters, but the author has orchestrated the plot so carefully that you still can’t crack the puzzle. I want to give readers that same feeling of delight and excitement I get when I’m reaching the end of a really good mystery and things are finally beginning to fall into place. And I’ve always wanted to write mysteries because that’s what I love to read. To be honest, it’s something that’s always been in my mind over the years, even when I was working other jobs. When reflecting on her mother’s relationship, Antoinette seems destined to follow a similar path of unhappiness and insanity. The Conway women take the marriage route and it is ultimately unsuccessful each time. Initially, it is important to recognize that the two socially accepted ways for a woman to attain security in this world are marriage and entering the convent. Within Wide Sargasso Sea, feminism is the very undertone, and if you examine it this way it allows readers to understand the role of the patriarchy within sex and marriage, the opression of self, and colonialism. If you examine the work through a feminist lense, you see that the same principles for colonialism and imperialism remain the same, there are powers of which aim to oppress and take ownership of property, and women are no different, and fall under that very category. These struggles still exist, however in different context. Initially upon reading Wide Sargasso Sea, not being versed in Jane Eyre, it was taken as a tale of imperialism, and the struggle of wealth and class despite the ending of slavery. Wide Sargasso Sea was written as a metatextual reference to Jane Eyre, through the perspective of Antoinette Cosway, before her psychological dissent within the attic in Jane Eyre. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() XD I’ll go with Psalms and all the Pauline epistles.įavorite Bible hero other than Jesus…I think either David or Paul. ![]() I think it helps me internalize a little better to do that.Īgh, I can’t pick just one favorite book. After going through his studies in physics with "a sassy attitude" at the Zurich Polytechnic, Einstein wound up being the only graduate of his year's class not to be offered a job. The author describes Einstein's insolent streak and how the sometimes abrasive nature around it cost Einstein much in the short term, though larger society benefited dramatically in the long run. Broadly speaking, Einstein is viewed as a kind of inherent rebel. The physicist's theory of general relativity receives particular emphasis. Isaacson's biographical analysis of Einstein's life reflects the nature of personal achievement in terms of the importance of inquisitiveness and the willingness to experiment. Isaacson additionally collaborated with scientists Murray Gell-Mann, Brian Greene, and Lawrence Krauss to gain knowledge about the underlying background.
